Stewardship Awareness Campaign
September 1 – October 31, 2011
“I will be faithful to Jesus Christ through the United Methodist Church by my prayers, presence, giving, service, and witness.”
Our membership vows remind us that two of the ways we can grow closer to God is by giving our service and money to him through the ministries of our church. We can transform our lives. By being generous with our time and finances, it allows us to be rich in faith through “God math” which works like this: You give your service and money to the church, even though you don’t really have it to give. You make a sacrifice. God then does a miraculous thing – since you have done his business, he takes care of yours. You find your own need satisfied, sometimes in a surprising way.
“What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me?” (Psalms 116:12)
We have many missions at First United Methodist Church of Anniston. Through our giving of our time and money, we continue to actively support our worship, music programs, Christian education, and strong community mission programs. Your commitments of service and money for the coming year are IMPORTANT – no matter how large or small. Thank you for your generosity.
- No matter the amount of time or service, all pledges are welcome
