Youth Ministries

7th - 12th Grades 

 

Youth groups meet on Sunday nights (5:00 pm) for dinner, fellowship and special activities.  HighPoint is also a time for the youth to gather on Wednesday evenings (6:00 pm).  

Activities are always ongoing and include holiday parties, paintball games, sport games and movies. Out-of-town trips include a summer mission trip, a choir tour, and weekend retreats.

 

 
Sunday School

9:30 am in the Bridge

Junior High; Grades 7-8: Lessons focus on how Scripture relates to student’s lives.  
Senior High; Grades 9-12: Lessons focus on how Scripture relates to student’s lives.

 

Youth Group

5:00 pm, Sunday evenings in the Bridge    

Snack supper & youth group.  At least once each month there is a “fun” activity which have included laser tag, bowling, swim parties, and a cookout.

6:00 pm, Wednesdays in the Bridge
A special youth group time after the church-wide fellowship meal. 
(Grades 7-12) -  Bible Study

Activities
Mission Trips
There is at least one mission trip each year.  Youth have the opportunity to go away for a week for work and fun.  Past mission trips have had the youth painting, cleaning, roofing, and doing light construction work on homes or churches.

Local service projects have included the following:
• Working the the Soup Bowl
• Rake and Run
• Adopted the church at Camp Lee
• Doing Random Acts of Kindness
• Working in our home church

Retreats
The Youth attend retreats sponsored by the Conference, District and our own church.

Youth Activities Week
The Youth do “fun” things throughout one week during the summer.  Past activities have included an overnight lake trip, water games, a trip to Six Flags, and dinner out at a restaurant

Other Activities have included:
• Super Bowl Party
• New Year’s Eve Lock-in
• Concerts
• Canoe Trips
• Snow Ski Trips
